Applying for a
Tourist (L) Visa in Beijing |

Foreigners coming to China bearing a tourist (L) visa may apply to
extend that visa before its date of expiration if they wish to continue
their stay in China. Currently the Beijing Entry-Exit Control Bureau
processes the two following types of L visa extensions: 1 month with
zero entries and 1 month with 1 entry. An L visa may be extended at the
most 2 times.
Applicants for a Tourist (L) Visa should provide the following
materials:
1. Valid passport
2. Temporary Accommodation Registration

4. One recent 2-inch waist up (no hat, facing forward) color photo
The processing time for a Tourist (L) visa is
